The Motor Accident Commission M.A.C is responsible for road safety advertising in South Australia (SA).

In response to a growing number of fatalities and serious injuries from motorcycle riding, MAC enlisted the help of 5 times 500cc World Champion Mick Doohan to help spread a safety message.

Safer Motorcycle Advanced Rider Training (S.M.A.R.T)

This program is now closed - Mick was the ambassador for the program from 2007 to its closure in 2012.

As Patron of the Safer Motorcycle Advanced Rider Training (S.M.A.R.T) program, Mick wants to help motorcycle riders be the best they can be. He believes rider education and ongoing training are the keys to avoiding crashes.

S.M.A.R.T is a road safety initiative that offers professional instruction for licensed motorcycle riders to reduce their chances of crashing when faced with challenging road conditions.
